Our public speakers shine at Rotary Youth Speaks

On the evening of 26th January, two Blue Coat Public Speaking teams travelled to Marlow to take part in the second round of the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition 2017.

The standard was incredibly high and our Intermediate team – Main Speaker William Peters,  Chairman Ted Aplin and Vote of Thanks Miles Edwards – were narrowly pipped to the post. They were highly commended for their teamwork and slick presentation, and it was clear that the audience thoroughly enjoyed William’s speech about first world problems.

The Senior team – Main speaker Isaac Doel, Chairman Luke Douglas and Vote of Thanks James Steers – were triumphant! Isaac challenged the audience to think about which charities they donate to and whether we are investing in the right lives. The Senior team will compete again in March at the district finals.
