A clutch of medals at the Berkshire Schools Champs

Three athletes from Year 11 took time off from their GCSE studies to compete in the Berkshire Schools Championships on Saturday 10th June, all with excellent results. Ollie Matthews threw the javelin 38 metres to win a bronze medal, Eddie Steveni ran 2 minutes exactly to win silver in the 800m, and Max Cooper won gold in the 1500m steeplechase in 4 minutes and 38 seconds. His time qualified him to compete in the English Schools Championships in Birmingham in July; a great achievement.

Our Year 8 athletes also enjoyed success at the event: with Sam Hodgson winning silver for the 1500m, Matthew Kirk winning silver for the hurdles,  and Gabriel Isaacs winning silver for the 200m. Congratulations to Max and all others who competed so well.
