Claire Holliday teaches German and French at Blue Coat, having gained knowledge of both languages through her studies at Exeter College, Oxford and on a year abroad in Germany, and through her experience of doing an internship in the Paris offices of EDF, the largest electric utility company in the world. She spent her year as a Newly Qualified Teacher at a school in Weybridge, before joining Blue Coat.
As part of the language programme at Blue Coat, Claire accompanies the annual German Sixth Form Exchange trip to Berlin. She is also involved with Junior Public Speaking and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award navigation weekends and she plays the trumpet in numerous concerts and at the annual Remembrance Day service. Outside of school, she plays in a competitive brass band, the Maidenhead Symphony Orchestra and a band at the Madejski Football Stadium. She also enjoys zumba.
